Feed OBS or vMix
Keep the switcher you already use and let RheoCast supply the scripture, as a transparent lower third over NDI or a browser source.
You will end with RheoCast's scripture arriving in OBS or vMix as a transparent layer, so your existing production keeps its cameras and RheoCast keeps its ears. About 15 minutes. NDI and the browser source are on the Pro and Ministry plans.
Before you start
- Transcription works and Go Live puts verses on the Display Preview: Run your first Sunday, steps 1 to 5
- OBS or vMix is running, on this computer or another one on the same wired network
Pick the route
On the same computer, the browser source is simplest: RheoCast serves a local page your switcher loads. Across two computers, use NDI, which crosses the network. Both can send a transparent lower third rather than a full frame.
Turn the output on in RheoCast
Open Settings › Output. For the browser source, enable Web Overlay and copy the URL it shows. For NDI, enable NDI Source, give it a name such as RheoCast-Main, and choose 1080p at 30 fps. In either case turn on Lower Third Mode for a transparent band at the bottom of the frame. Save.
Add it in the switcher
In OBS: Add Source › Browser Source, paste the URL, set the size to your stream's resolution, or Add Source › NDI Source and pick the RheoCast name. In vMix: Add Input › NDI / Desktop Capture and pick RheoCast. Put the layer above your cameras.
Send a verse through
In Present › Live, press Start, turn Go Live on, and type John 3:16 in the search bar. The verse appears in the switcher's preview on a transparent background. Press Escape and it disappears.
Match the look to the stream
In Settings › Appearance, set the font and size for the stream rather than the room, and choose a transparent background. If the same RheoCast also feeds the projector, the projector window shows black where the keyed outputs show through.
These outputs are per session
NDI and the web overlay switch off when RheoCast quits and never switch themselves back on. Turn them on when you set up on the day. The windowed or fullscreen display mode, by contrast, is remembered.

- When you are ready to retire the switcher, The Broadcast Console does the same job inside RheoCast.
