RheoCast

Setup & Installation

Download, install, and sign in to RheoCast on your broadcast computer.

RheoCast runs as a desktop application on the computer that handles your sermon audio and scripture output. Most churches install it on the same machine used for projection or live streaming.

Scope of the app: RheoCast is Bible presentation software. It displays scripture during sermons. It does not stream your service to Facebook, YouTube, or other platforms — pair it with OBS, vMix, or similar tools for that. See Display & Output.

System Requirements

Minimum (cloud transcription)

  • OS: Windows 10/11 or macOS 12+ (Intel and Apple Silicon)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 or Apple Silicon (M1+)
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Network: Stable broadband internet during live services

macOS note: RheoCast runs on both Intel-based Macs and Apple Silicon Macs. Intel Macs are fully supported — they use cloud transcription and require an active internet connection during live services. Local offline transcription is only available on Apple Silicon Macs.

  • OS: Windows 11 or macOS 14+
  • CPU: Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3+) or a modern Intel / AMD multi-core processor
  • RAM: 16 GB+
  • Network: Wired Ethernet for NDI and streaming setups
  • Audio: Dedicated audio interface or mixer feed (Focusrite, X32, Dante Virtual Soundcard, etc.)

Offline transcription: Available as an automatic fallback on Apple Silicon Macs only when internet is unavailable. Intel Macs and Windows PCs require an active connection for live transcription.

Download & Install

  1. Visit the Download page and get the installer for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
  2. For paid plans, complete checkout on Pricing first — you'll receive a license key by email.
  3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. Launch RheoCast from your Applications folder or Start menu.

When you first open the app, RheoCast checks connectivity to the account server. If offline, you'll see a No Internet Connection screen that retries automatically.

Once online, you'll see the welcome screen. You can sign in two ways:

Google Sign-In

  1. Click Continue with Google.
  2. Complete Google authentication in your browser.
  3. If this is your first time, complete the Church Profile form (church name, contact details, optional logo).

License Key

If your organization received a license key (for example through a ChurchCast bundle):

  1. Click I have a license key.
  2. Enter your key and click Verify.
  3. Complete church profile setup if prompted.

License keys are tied to your organization and device limits on your plan. Do not share keys outside your ministry.

Church Profile

If Google sign-in succeeds but your church isn't onboarded yet, you'll see the Church Profile step. Required fields:

  • Church Full Name
  • Your Full Name and Your Title / Role
  • Church Email
  • Country

Optional: Branch Name, Abbreviation (auto-generated from church name), Church Phone, Church Logo.

Submit with Complete Setup. This information personalizes your experience and appears in certain Creator Studio exports.
